Recommended Reading

When patients get relief from acupuncture they start to become interested in the history, mechanics, theory, etc.  The first book I like to recommend is "The Web That Has No Weaver" by Ted Kaptchuk, O.M.D.  This was the first book assigned to me as a student.  It is incredibly easy to read and to understand.  You may purchase the book by clicking  here .

Dr. Kaptchuk is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard University.  He continues to conduct research on the efficacy of acupuncture and how it fits with the western medical paradigm.

Thank you for reading.

I have to agree with the wise and wonderful Tamara (once again). This is an incredibly informative book, and so interesting! I don't think most acupuncture patients realize the layers of knowledge necessary for formulating a treatment plan - and this is a nice peak into the behind the scenes. Thanks Tamara!
