One Acupuncture Point For Stress

There are quick and efficient ways to manage stress with acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  I see patients everyday for stress and stress-related conditions.  Treatment requires several acupuncture sessions, breathing exercises and participation outside of the office.

I instruct patients to administer acupressure on their own time with just one acupuncture point.  This point is called yintang and it is located directly in between the eyebrows just above the nose.  The yogis call this spot the third eye.  To try this technique yourself, place your thumb in between your eyebrows.  Close your eyes.  Press the point for about five seconds and then slowly drag your thumb up to your hairline.  Repeat as many times as feels necessary.  Remember to keep your jaw relaxed and take slow steady breaths deep into your abdomen.  This technique works wonders on fussy children as well.

I welcome your feedback.

Thanks for reading.
