Jathara Parivartanasana-Revolved Abdominal Pose

I cannot believe that we're coming down to our last few weeks of spring.  Because we cleanse and replenish the liver during spring, I recommend twisting the abdomen to wring out the liver as well as the other abdominal organs. My favorite yoga pose for this is jathara parivartanasana.

While jathara parivartanasana is the superior yoga pose for wringing out the internal organs, it also provides a nice stretch in the hips and strengthens the abdomen and low back.  Hold the pose for two to three minutes on each side.  Repeat as often as you like.

Thanks for reading.

This is such a relaxing move...I think you are slowly turning me into yoga so much so that I have been researching the chaturanga push ups you mentioned in my comments. I decided I wasn't quite ready for those but will work up to that.

I like this one early in the AM.
    Thanks, I'm inspired.

I want to do yoga but have not really given it a fair chance! I am so clumsy but need to try again. I have heard so many great things about it.

I came back to tell you that I will be attending my first Yoga class this week. I think it's an intermediate level but it's the only one that fits my schedule...I hope I can last, I am a little intimidated. Wish me luck. Thanks for the inspiration.
